Writing Less

2 Feb 2023

In a recent, and appropriately brief, post, Matt Gemmel extolled the virtues of allowing yourself to write less. Specifically, of not worrying too much about the quantity, or even the quality, of what you put on your own blog, and thus removing the psychological barrier to writing there. With the continuing implosion of Twitter, I’ve drifted over to Mastodon (I’m @robhague@mas.to), but I’m also using it as an opportunity to re-evaluate my use of social media in general. Posting more freely on here seems like a good thing to try, and more importantly one over which I have complete control. Let’s see how it goes.
